Where the line works

The service area starts with La Mesa, CA, about nine miles east of downtown San Diego, and extends to the neighbors that share its borders. You call (619) 927-0312 from any of them, and dispatch confirms your address on the phone.

The City of La Mesa borders San Diego to the west and north, Spring Valley and Lemon Grove to the south, and El Cajon to the east. Water in all four comes through Helix Water District, which reported very hard water for 2025, so scale-related problems show up across the whole area.

La Mesa ZIP codes explained

La Mesa has four ZIPs, and all four are covered. Two of them, 91941 and 91942, are standard ZIPs where people live and work. The other two, 91943 and 91944, are PO Box ZIPs that sit inside 91942, so no home has a street address in them.

If your mail goes to a PO box in 91943 or 91944, give the street address of the property when you call. Grossmont Center tenants use 91943, for example, and the plumber needs the unit's real location.

The three towns next door

El Cajon plumbing help covers its three ZIPs, 92019, 92020 and 92021, and the dispatch works the same as in La Mesa. Our El Cajon page explains the local geography in more detail.

Lemon Grove is small and uses only 91945, and the Lemon Grove page covers renters and landlords as well as owners. Spring Valley is unincorporated and has its own page for 91977 and 91978.

Edge addresses

Bonita sits next to Spring Valley, and Casa de Oro and La Presa use Spring Valley addresses. If you live in one of them, call and give the street address. Dispatch will tell you what is possible.

What ZIP coverage means for you

A ZIP on this page means dispatch knows the area and can match a plumber to it. It does not set a price or promise a time. Both depend on the problem, the day and the plumber's schedule.

Same-day appointments are offered when available. Call early in the day if the job can wait a few hours, and call at once if it cannot. For a list of services, visit the services page.
